Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, ginawa ng pangulo ang hirit sa China sa 39th cabinet meeting kagabi na ginanap sa Malakanyang.
Ayon kay Panelo, nais din ng pangulo na matalakay ang insidente sa Recto Bank sa bilateral meetings sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China.
“The cabinet discussed the Recto Bank incident where PRRD told the Cabinet that the incident be discussed during the bilateral meetings with China. The President wanted China’s assurance that the rights and safety of our fisherfolks are guaranteed,” ayon kay Panelo.
