Davao court naglabas ng PHDO vs Kapa officials

Naglabas ang isang korte sa Davao ng precautionary hold departure order (PHDO) laban sa mga opisyal ng Kapa Community Ministry International sa gitna ng akusasyong ‘investment scam’ ang sekta.

Sa text message sa mga mamamahayag, sinabi ni Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete na isinailalim sa PHDO ng Davao City Regional Trial Court Branch 16 sina Kapa Ministry founder and president Joel Apolinario, Margie Danao, Reyna Apolinario, Marisol Diaz, Adelfa Fernandico, Moises Mopia, Catherine Evangelista, at Rene Catubigan.

“Court grants DOJ Prosecutors’ application for precautionary hold departure order against KAPA officials,” ani Perete.

Inilalabas ang PHDO upang mapigilan ang mga indibidwal na makaalis ng bansa.

Nauna nang inilagay sa immigration watchlist ang ilang Kapa officials.

Nakatakdang magsagawa ng preliminary investigation ang DOJ laban sa Kapa officials matapos ang reklamo ng Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) na lumabag ang mga ito sa Republic Act No. 8799 o ang Securities Regulation Code (SRC).

Ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang shutdown ng nasabing sekta.
