Bagong mahistrado para sa Korte Suprema, inendorso ng konseho ng Maynila

Kinatigan ng Manila City Council ang pagtatalaga kay Court of Appeals Associate Justice Jhosep Lopez bilang bagong Associate Justice sa Supreme Court (SC).

Sa inilabas na resolusyon ng konseho, nagpabatid sila ng suporta kay Lopez at pormal itong iniendorso sa posisyon ng pagiging mahistrado ng SC.

Nagsilbi si Lopez bilang Chief City Prosecutor ng Maynila simula 2006 at naging mahistrado ng Court of Appeals noong 2012.

Nagpapatuloy pa ang paghahanap ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) ng bagong mahistrado kung saan kinapanayam ang mga aplikante noong June 25 at 26.
