Inilunsad ng Qatar Airways araw ng Martes ang kanilang kauna-unahang direct flight mula Davao Airport patungong Doha, Qatar.
Ayon sa advisory ng airline, mayroon na silang isang flight tuwing Biyernes mula Davao International Airport hanggang Hamad International Airport sa Doha.
Sa inaugural flight ng Qatar Airways flight QR93, lulan nito ang 133 pasahero mula sa Hamad Aiport.
Umalis ng Hamad ang eroplano alas-2:45 ng madaling araw ng Martes at lumapag sa Davao bandang alas-6:00 ng gabi.
Inaasahang ang international flight na ito ay oportunidad para sa Davao na mapalakas ang kanilang sektor ng turismo at pamumuhunan.
