DA Sec. Manny Piñol inabswelto sa korapsyon ng PACC
Matapos ang pitong buwan na imbestigasyon nilinis ng Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) si Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol sa isyu ng korapsyon.
Ang PACC ay nagsagawa ng lifestyle check kay Piñol matapos ang mga balita na nakinabang ito sa rice importation deals matapos na ibigay sa DA ang panganasiwa sa National Food Authority (NFA).
Pero sa resolusyon ng PACC, pinapawalang-sala nito sa korapsyon si Piñol at sinabing wala itong nakitang sapat na ebidensya na magpapatunay na si Piñol ay mayroong hindi maipawaliwanag na yaman.
Binanggit din ng PACC ang boluntaryong pagpapa-imbestiga ni Piñol at pagpapasailalim sa lifestyle check.
“The PACC hopes that this will be the new culture in government service where instead of clamping up and issuing denials in the face of insinuations of corruption, public officials should open up to thorough scrutiny,” ayon kay PACC Chairman Dante Jimenez.
Ayon sa PACC, ang naturang resulta ng imbestigasyon nila kay Piñol ay isusumite kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kasama na ang mga nakalap nilang dokumento.
