Chinese warship namataan sa Scarborough Shoal ayon sa PCG

Sa kabila ng mga ulat na nagsisimula nang mag-alisan ang mga Chinese vessels sa Pag-asa Island sa West Philippine Sea, namataan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang isang Chinese warship sa Scarborough Shoal.

Ayon kay Coast Guard spokesperson Captain Armand Balilo, sa kanilang katatapos lamang na maritime patrol, dalawang Chinese coast guard ships, dalawang militia boats at isang warship ang namataan na pumapaligid sa isla.

“Dalawang China Coast Guard, dalawang militia boats at isang naval ship ang namataan ng mga tauhan ng Coast Guard na umiikot sa gilid ng Scarborough Shoal, ani Balilo.

Tatlong local vessels naman ang nakita rin sa lugar habang paligid-ligid ang Chinese vessels.

Sa kabila nito, sinabi ng mga lokal namangingisda na hindi naman sila nakaranas ng harassment mula sa mga foreign vessels.

Sinabi pa ni Balilo na sa apat na araw na patrolya ng PCG sa pinag-aagawang isla, walang untoward incident na naganap maliban sa palagiang pag-usisa sa kanila ng Chinese Coast Guard.
