15 tonelada ng mangga naibenta sa unang araw ng Mango Festival ng DA

Aabot sa 15 tonelada ng mangga na karamihan ay mula sa Luzon at ang ilang kilo ay mula sa Mindanao ang naibenta at dinumog ng mga consumer sa Mango Festival na inilunsad ng Department of Agriculture (DA) araw ng Lunes.

Present sa launching ng Mango Festival sa DA Central Office sa Quezon City ang aktor na si Robin Padilla.

Target ng DA na makapagbenta ng halos isang milyong kilo ng mangga sa Metro Manila ngayong buwan.

Ito ay dahil sa overproduction ng mangga na umabot sa halos dalawang milyong kilo bunsod ng nararanasang El Niño phenomenon.

Umaaray ang mga magsasaka dahil dumausdos ang presyo ng kanilang mga produkto.

Bukod sa Central Office, ibebenta ang mga mangga mula P20 hanggang P50 kada kilo depende sa kalidad sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

-Bureau of Plant and Industry, Malate, Manila;

-Muntinlupa City Hall

-Paranaque City Hall

-Waltermart North Edsa, Quezon City from 9am-9pm;

-Waltermart Makati from 9am to 9pm and,

-Waltermart Pasay from 9am to 9pm.

Samantala, may mabibili ring commercial rice sa halagang P36 kada kilo, mga gulay, niyog at at iba pang agribased products sa TienDA Plus Metrowide Mango Festival sa Muntinlupa at Parañaque City Halls.
