Walang balak si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na pakialaman ang mga kongresista sa pagpili ng kanilang Speaker.
Pahayag ito ng Palasyo matapos makitang magkasama sina Pangulong Duterte at incoming Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez na isa sa mga matunog na magiging Speaker sa 18th congress.
Nagtungo sina Pangulong Duterte at Romualdez sa lamay ni Sendeng Loo Gaisano na may-ari ng Gaisano Mall sa Forbes Park sa Makati city.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, nagkataon lamang na parehong kaibigan nina Pangulong Duterte at Romualdez si Gaisano at nagkasabay sa lamay.
“Wala, wala. The President will not interfere on that, we have repeatedly said that,” ani Panelo.
Bukod kay Romualdez, matunog din ang pangalan na magiging speaker sina incoming Taguig Rep., Alan Peter Cayetano, Marinduque Rep. Lord Alan Velasco at Davao Rep. Pantaloon Alvarez.
