Dadaan sa matinding ensayo ang Gilas Pilipinas Youth team para sa 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
Pasok sa line-up ng koponan ng Pilipinas ang twin towers na sin AJ Edu at Kai Sotto.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Al Panlilio, presidente ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), excited na silang makita ang magiging game performance ng koponan laban sa magagaling na manlalaro sa ibang bansa.
Maliban kina Edu at Sotto, kasama rin sa line-up sina Xyrus Torres, Gerry Abadiano, Bismarck Lina, Geoffrey Chiu, Carl Tamayo, Rhayyan Amsali, Joshua Ramirez, Miguel Oczon, Dalph Panopio, Dave Ildefonso, Terrence Fortea at James Spencer.
Kabilang ang Pilipinas sa Group C kasama ang Greece, Argentina at Russia.
Isasagawa ang 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup sa Greece mula June 27 hanggang July 8.
