Sotto, kumpiyansang suportado siya ng mayorya sa mga senador na manatiling Senate president
Kumpiyansa si Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto na mayorya sa mga senador ang sumusuporta pa rin sa kanya para manatiling lider ng Senado sa 18th Congress.
Pero paglilinaw ni Sotto, hindi siya kapit tuko sa puwesto.
Sakali man aniyang magpasya ang mga senador na magpalit ng lider, handa si Sotto na agad na lisanin ang Senate presidency.
Iginiit pa ni Sotto na tumatalima siya sa kagustuhan ng mayorya sa mga senador.
Kinakailangan ni Sotto ng 13 suporta mula sa 24 na senador para manatiling Senate president.
Samantala, nagpaliwanag naman si Sotto sa hindi pagsipot ni Senador Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel sa meeting ng mga incumbent at newbie senators.
Ayon kay Sotto, nag-abiso na si Pimentel na sadyang hindi siya makapasisipot sa pagpupulong.
Wala namang ideya si Sotto sa hindi pagsipot ni Senador Cynthia Villar.
Una rito, sinabi ni Senator-elect Imee Marcos na mayroong hakbang sa Senado na nagtutulak kay Villar na maging Senate president.
