Palasyo pumalag sa hirit ng UN experts na imbestigahan ang patayan sa bansa

Pinalagan ng Malakanyang ang nais ng United Nations human rights experts na magkaroon ng international investigation sa anila ay “unlawful” na mga patayan sa bansa sa gitna ng war on drugs ng gobyerno.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, isang paghahamon at mapangahas na pakikialam sa soberanya ng Pilipinas.

“The reasons foisted by them for the aforesaid investigation have been discredited and repudiated by the very nation they pretend to care about,” ani Panelo.

Babala ni Panelo sa mga kalaban ng pamahalaan at kanilang taga-suporta sa ibang bansa, hindi paniniwalaan ng mga Pilipino ang anyay isang kasinungalingan na idinadaan sa mga batikos.

“Let the enemies of the state and their supporters from foreign soil be forewarned that no amount of destructive narratives against this government will envelope it with the appearance of pretended truth to hoodwink the Filipino people in embracing it,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Matatandaan na noong maupo sa pwesto ay nangako si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na pupuksain ang droga at krimen at ngayong taon ay pina-igting pa ang kampanya.

Pero inakusahan ng 11 UN experts ang Pangulo ng umanoy lantarang pananakot sa mga bumabatikos sa kanyang war on drugs.

Kaugnay naman ng hirit na imbestigasyon ng UN experts, iginiit ni Panelo na tinitiyak ng hudikatura na patas na naipapatupad ang batas.

“The eleven (11) UN Special Rapporteurs’ act of peddling a biased and absolutely false recital of facts, adulterated with malicious imputations against the constituted authorities, smacks of unpardonable intrusions on our sovereignty,” dagdag ni Panelo.

Nanindigan ang Palasyo na base sa mali at pinekeng impormasyon ang alegasyon ng UN experts na umanoy nagpapanggap na mga protector ng karapatang pantao.
