Ayon kay Lacson, ang paggastos ng P5 milyon mula sa pondo ng Marawi rehabilitation ay hindi kung ano ang mas mahalaga sa relihiyon at sa pabahay.

It is about technical malversation…(c) the public use for which the public funds or property were applied is different from the purpose for which they were originally appropriated by law or ordinance,” tweet ng Senador.
Pahayag ito ni Lacson matapos depensahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang paggamit ng pondo para sa pagpunta ng ilang residente ng Marawi City sa Saudi Arabia.
Una rito ay sinabihan ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) na ibalik ang pondong ginastos sa hajj.
Samantala, sinabi naman ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na pagpapaliwanagin nila ang HUDCC ukol sa isyu.
