Itinanghal na Newspaper of the Year sa Rotary Club of Manila Journalism Awards ang Philippine Daily Inqurier.
Ang awarding ceremony ay ginanap sa New World Hotel sa Makati City kung saan binigyang pagkilala ng Rotary Club of Manila sa iba’t ibang kategorya ang mga nasa larangan ng print. TV, radio at online.
Maliban sa Newspaper of the Year, naiuwi din ng business reporter ng PDI na si Dax Lucas ang “Newspaper Male Business Reporter of the Year” award.
Habang si Prof. Winnie Monsod na kolumnista ng PDI ay kinilala bilang “Newspaper Female Opinion Writer of the Year”.
Si PDI associate publisher Juliet Javellana ang tumanggap ng parangal.
Ani Javellana, ang pagkilala ay nagpapatunay sa service of truth, freedom & democracy ng PDI.
