ACT dinepensahan ang gurong nag-post ng CR na ginawang faculty room

Ipinagtanggol ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) ang isang guro na nag-post sa social media ng paggamit nila sa comfort room ng isang eskwelahan sa Bacoor, Cavite bilang faculty room.

Kasabay nito ay kinondena ng ACT ang umanoy pananakot ng Department of Education (DepEd) laban sa guro na si Maricel Herrera, presidente ng faculty club ng Bacoor National High School.

“We denounce DepEd Secretary [Leonor] Briones’ lie that the case is an isolated one, further, her contemptuous remark that teachers chose to stay on the shabby faculty area because it is ‘more dramatic and touching.’ Equally, we condemn the school principal’s threats of suing Ms. Herrera, allegedly for ‘disparaging the reputation’ of the education agency and the school,” pahayag ng ACT.

Nagbanta ang principal ng eskwelahan na si Anita Rom na kakasuhan ang guro ng administrative case, cyber libel at destruction of government facility.

Pero paliwanag ng guro, napilitan sila na gawing faculty room ang CR dahil pinaalis sila mula sa faculty room na gagamitin umanong classroom.

Ayon sa grupo, hindi na bago ang sitwasyon ng mga guro sa nasabing eskwelahan.

Dagdag ng ACT, patunay lamang ito na kulang ang pasilidad sa mga pampublikong paaralan.

Mali umano na parusahan ang guro imbes na tugunan na lang ang problema.

Una rito ay sinabi ni Education Sec. Leonor Briones na may opsyon ang mga guro na gamitin ang laboratory room ng eskwelahan pero mas pinili ng mga ito ang CR para umano mas “dramatic.”
