Kumpanyang Tentay makikipag-ugnayan sa FDA kaugnay ng sukang may synthetic acetic acid

Makikipag-usap ang Tentay Food Sauces Inc. sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) para linawin ang isyu tungkol sa umano’y taglay na synthetic acetic acid ng kanilang mga produktong suka.

“We will discuss and clarify this issue with [FDA] this week,” ayon sa Tentay.

Inanunsyo na ng FDA na lima sa 39 brands ng suka na karaniwang ginagamit ng publiko ay naglalaman ng synthetic acetic acid at hindi dapat ibenta.

Ang dalawa pang brands na ayon sa FDA ay may synthetic acetic acid ay:

Surebuy Cane Vinegar (Best Before Date: 26 03 21)
Chef’s Flavor Vinegar (Expiry Date 01APR21)

Sinabi ng FDA na wala namang panganib sa kalusugan ang mga sukang ito ngunit ang mga ito ay substandard.

“The presence of synthetic acetic acid merely represents that the vinegar did not undergo fermentation, either through a slow process, quick process, or submerged culture process which is used for commercial vinegar production,” ayon sa FDA.
