Grab Philippines mababawasan ng 8,000 driver-partners

Inanunsyo ng ride-hailing company na Grab Philippines na aabot sa 8,000 transport network vehicle services (TNVS) ang kanilang nakatakdang i-terminate sa June 10.

May kaugnayan ito sa kabiguan ng ilan sa kanilang mga driver-partner na makapagsumite ng proof of provisional authority to operate mula Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Aminado si Grab president Brian Cu na makaka-apekto ito sa kanilang operasyon dahil mababawasan ang mga sasakyan sa kanilang fleet.

Gayunman, umaasa si Cu na mamadaliin ng LTFRB ang pagbubukas ng panibagong 10,00 slot para sa mga TNVS.

Noong Disyembre ay binuksan ng LTFRB ang aplikasyon para sa TNVS new slot at tatagal ito hanggang sa June 7.

“At the end of the day, many Filipinos will suffer from this painful step, both the drivers and the passengers. We would want to avoid this from happening, but we are bound to comply with our regulator,” ayon pa kay Cu.
