PNP tinanggalan ng police escorts ang Tulfo brothers
Kinumpirma ng Philippine National Police (PNP) araw ng Linggo na inalis na ang police escorts ng Tulfo brothers makaraan ang direktiba mula kay Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.
Ayon kay PNP spokesperson Pol. Col. Bernard Banac, sasailalim sa regular inspection, interview at debriefing ngayong linggo ang security personnel na itinalaga kay Erwin Tulfo.
“Based on standard protocols, the two PNP security personnel assigned to Erwin Tulfo will undergo the regular inspection, interview and debriefing this week following an assigned schedule among all PSPG [Police Security and Protection Group] personnel,” ani Banac.
Maliban kay Erwin, sasailalim din sa naturang mga proseso ang security details ng kanyang mga kapatid na sina Ben at Raffy.
“All authorization of Tulfo siblings will undergo same review process as ordered by [Department of Interior and Local Government] Secretary [Eduardo] Ano,” dagdag ng PNP spokesperson.
Kasabay nito, ang dalawang Philippine Marines personnel security naman na ibinigay kay Ramon Tulfo na kasalukuyang nakatalaga bilang Presidential special envoy to China ay binawi rin ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) para isailalim sa review.
Sa isang Facebook post ni Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy, makikita ang mensahe mula kay Año na nag-uutos sa PNP na alisan ng police escorts ang magkakapatid na Tulfo.
Nilinaw naman ni Banac na ang pagbawi sa police security detail ng magkakapatid ay hindi konektado sa bagong kontrobersiya na kinasangkutan ni Erwin.
Magugunitang binanatan ni Erwin at tinawag na buang si dating Philippine Army Chief at Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Bautista sa kanyang radio program noong May 27.
Humingi ng paumanhin si Erwin sa inasta laban sa kalihim ngunit patuloy itong inuulan ng batikos.
