Bilang ng mga lumabag sa local ordinances sa Metro Manila higit 1 milyon na
Lagpas na sa isang milyon ang bilang ng mga naaresto dahil sa paglabag sa mga lokal na ordinansa sa Metro Manila simula noong June 13, 2018.
Ayon kay National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, kabuuang 1,069,691 na ang nahuli sa paglabag sa city ordinances hanggang Biyernes, May 31, 2019.
Pinatitiyak ni Eleazar sa limang district directors sa Metro Manila ang patuloy na paghuli sa ordinance violators hanggang madisiplina ang mga tao.
“We should not lower our guard in the campaign against ordinance violators until Metro Manilans realize that they should follow the rule of law to the letter for them to evade jail time,” ani Eleazar.
Pinakamarami ang lumabag sa smoking ban sa 247,710 na kabuuang 23.16 percent nang naganap na mga pag-aresto.
Sumunod naman ang pag-aresto sa 65,650 mga menor de edad na lumabag sa curfew hours o 6.14 percent.
