Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang episentro ng lindol ay sa layong 13 kilometro Hilagang-Silangan ng Aroroy.
May lalim itong anim na kilometro at tectonic ang pinagmulan.
Hindi naman nagdulot ng pinsala sa ari-arian ang lindol at wala ring inaasahang aftershocks.
