Duterte umaasang magiging disiplinado ang Pilipinas tulad ng Japan
Nagpahayag ng paghanga si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Japan at sinabi nitong umaasa siyang sa hinaharap ay tutularan ng mga Filipino ang kaugalian ng mga mamamayan nito.
Sa keynote address ng presidente sa 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia sa Tokyo, Japan, sinabi nitong nais niyang makita ng Pilipinas na tulad ng Japan.
Inalala ng presidente na siya ay nagwagi sa presidential elections na ang plataporma ay ‘law and order’.
Sa Japan anya ay malaki ang pagpapahalaga ng mga mamamayan sa batas at umiiwas ang mga tao sa paggawa ng mga hakbang na may masamang epekto sa lipunan.
“I won the presidency on a platform of law and order. I wish to see the Philippines that is like Japan, the people’s commitment to follow the law or civic mindedness is so developed that people instinctively refrain from actions that are detrimental to society as a whole,” ani Duterte.
Sinabi pa ng presidente na mahal niya at ng Pilipinas ang Japan.
Ang Japan ay ang top source ng Pilipinas sa development assistance at ang ikalawang pinakamalaking trading partner matapos ang China.
Samantala, ipinagtanggol ng presidente ang giyera kontra droga ng bansa na anya’y naaayon naman sa isinasaad ng batas.
“We are pursuing all of these in a balanced and comprehensive manner consistent with the imperatives of democratic ideals and the values and the rule of law. We will not be deterred in pursuing this task,” ani Duterte.
