2,500 traffic personnel ipakakalat ng MMDA sa pagbubukas ng klase sa Lunes

Simula alas 5:00 pa lamang ng madaling araw ng Lunes, June 3 ipakakalat na ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang 2,500 na traffic personnel nito para sa pagbubukas ng klase.

Sinabi ni MMDA Chairman Danny Lim ang maayos na daloy ng mga sasakyan ang kanilang iaambag sa Oplan Balik Eskwela ng DepEd.

Dagdag pa ni Lim tutukan nila ang mga traffic prone areas para agad silang makakilos kung kakailanganin ang karagdagan pang traffic personnel.

“We shall field traffic personnel in traffic-prone areas around the metropolis and monitor traffic situation on roads leading to schools so we can easily augment personnel when needed,” ayon kay Lim.

Ayon naman kay Teroy Taguinod, ang namumuno sa Traffic Discipline Office, makikipag-ugnayan sila sa pamunuan ng mga eskuwelahan, local traffic bureaus at barangay para maging maayos ang trapiko sa paligid ng mga eskuwelahan.

Maganda aniya na payagan ang pagbababa at pagpapasakay ng mga mag-aaral sa loob mismo ng paaralan para hindi maipon ang mga sasakyan sa paligid.

Binanggit ni Taguinod, naapektuhan maging ang EDSA at iba pang mga pangunahing kalsada sa Metro Manila kapag traffic sa paligid ng mga eskwelahan.

“We have coordination with some school administrators to allow picking up and dropping off of students inside school premises so as not to obstruct vehicular flow on school zones,” sinabi naman ni Taguinod.
