Sinabihan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) na i-dispose na ang Smartmatic, ang provider ng vote counting machines (VCMs) sa automated elections sa bansa.
Ginawa ng Pangulo ang pahayag sa gitna ng talumpati sa Filipino community sa Japan.
“Dispose of that Smartmatic and look for a new one which is free of fraud,” ani Duterte.
Idinagdag ng Pangulo na tatalakayin niya sa sambayanan ang isyu ng disposal ng Smartmatic.
Sa kanyang talumpati ay sinabi pa ng Pangulo na sasabihan niya ang Comelec na tapusin na ang Smartmatic dahil gumagawa lamang anya ito ng problema.
“I will assure you I will bring this matter before the nation. At sabihin ko sa kanila stop it because you creating a problem na puputok talaga,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
