Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang episentro ng lindol ay sa layong 86 kilometro Hilagang-Silangan ng bayan ng Jomalig.
May lalim ang pagyanig na 19 kilometro at tectonic ang pinagmulan.
Hindi naman nagdulot ng pinsala sa ari-arian ang lindol at wala ring aftershocks.
