Pork products mula sa mga bansang apektado ng African Swine Flu ban na sa Pilipinas

Inatasan ng Foods and Drugs Administration (FDA) ang mga Importers, dealers at distributors ng processed pork products mula sa mga bansang may African Swine Flu (ASF) na alisin kaagad ang kanilang mga paninda sa mga pamilihan.

Inutusan rin ang mga Food and Drug Regulation officers pati na ang Regulatory Enforcement Units na kumpiskahin ang nasabing mga produkto na mula sa mga bansang apektado ng ASF.

Sinabi ni FDA acting director Eric Domingo na kabilang dito ang mga bansang China, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Russia at Ukraine.

Kasama rin sa listahan ang mga inangkat na pork products at frozen pork processed meat mula sa Vietnam, Zambia, South Africa, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Mongolia, Moldova at Belgium base sa rekomendasyon ng Department of Agriculture.

Sa Vietnam ay umaabot na sa higit sa 6,000 na mga baboy ang pinatay dahil sa African Swine Flu.

Sinabi ng World Health Organization na pwedeng pagmulan ng hemorrhagic disease ang virus mula sa mga baboy na apektado ng AWF.
