Service charge bill para sa hotel at resto employees lusot na sa Bicam
Inaprubahan na ng Bicameral Committee ang reconciled bill na magbibigay ng buong service charge sa mga empleyado ng restaurant at hotel.
Sinabi ni Sen.Joel Villanueva, chairman ng Senate Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development na nagkasundo ang mga senador at kongresista na aprubahan ang Senate version ng panukala.
Sa ngayon, sa ilalim ng Labor Code of the Philippines, 85 porsiyento ng nakokolektang service charge ay napupunta sa mga empleado at ang natitirang 15 porsiyento ay sa pamunuan ng establismento.
Sinabi ni Villanueva may mga reklamo na baligtad pa ang nangyayari, 85 porsiyento sa pamunuan at 15 porsiyento sa mga empleado.
Aniya ang makikinabang sa bagong batas ay ang rank and file employees hanggang sa mga nasa supervisory level lang.
Hindi naman nakasaad sa batas na mandatory na ang paniningil ng service charge at ito ay buwanan na ibibigay sa mga empleado.
