Duterte sa mga bagong talagang opisyal ng gobyerno: ‘Labanan ang kurapsyon’
Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang panunumpa ng 193 bagong talagang mga opisyal ng gobyerno sa seremonya sa Malakanyang Lunes ng hapon.
Ang mga newly-appointed officials ay mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno kabilang ang Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at Department of Health (DOH).
Nanumpa rin ang mga prosecutors mula sa iba’t ibang city prosecutors’ office sa ilalim ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
Sa kanyang talumpati, hinimok ni Pangulong Duterte ang mga bagong talagang opisyal ng gobyerno na maging patas sa pagtupad sa kanilang tungkulin.
Ayon sa Pangulo, dapat na gawin na tama ng mga government officials ang kanilang tungkulin at maging transparent.
Dapat anyang gamitin nang tama ang kanilang resources, lumikha ng mga polisiya at responsableng social programs at ituring nang patas ang lahat kahit ano pa ang estado sa buhay, relihiyon at kinaanibang political party.
Iginiit din ng Pangulo na ang public office ay public trust.
“Let us be reminded that public office is a public trust and for the nth time as echoed by the rest of the humanity of Filipinos, that public office is a public trust. I trust that you will perform your duties to the best of your [abilities], uphold transparency and good governance, and fight corruption in your respective offices,” ani Duterte.
Payo pa ng Pangulo sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno, labanan ang korupsyon.
“But of late, I have fired several high-ranking officials of government,” Duterte said. “If you are performing well, if you are not sick, if you are not imbecile, eh bakit mawala ka (Why would you be left out)? So it has something to do with corruption.”
