NPC hindi agad mag-blacklist ng Chinese companies

Hindi agad-agad magba-blacklist ng mga kumpanya mula sa China ang National Privacy Commission (NPC) hangga’t walang pruweba na may panganib itong dulot sa mga Filipino.

Sa isang statemet araw ng Huwebes, sinabi ni NPC Commissioner Ramon Liboro na dapat munang makita ang technical reports ng ibang bansa tungkol sa sinasabing panganib ng teknolohiya mula sa Chinese firms.

Ang pahayag ng NPC ay sa gitna ng ban na ipinatutupad ng Estados Unidos laban sa Huawei at mga ulat na posible ring mablacklist ang Hikvision na isang surveillance equipment manufacturer.

Iginiit ng NPC na ang mga kumpanyang pumapasok sa bansa ay sakop ng Data Privacy Act.

Nanindigan ang US na may dulot na security risk ang Huawei kaya’t hinikayat nito ang iba pang bansa na huwag nang gumamit ng equipment ng Chinese giant.

Pinutol na rin ng Google at iba pang tech firms ang business agreemetns nito sa Huawei.
