Pinoy Rapper Shanti Dope, pumalag sa hirit ng PDEA na ban sa kanta nitong ‘Amatz’
Umalma ang manager ni Pinoy rapper Shanti Dope sa panawagan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) na itigil na ang pag-ere at promosyon ng kanta nitong “Amatz” dahil isinusulong umano nito ang paggamit ng droga.
Sa Facebook post at hinikayat ng management ni Shanti na dapat sinuri ng PDEA ang buong mensahe ng awitin imbes na pinili lang ang ilang bahagi nito.
Iginiit ng kampo ng rapper na mali ang interprestasyon ng ahensya sa nais sabihin ng “Amatz.”
“We enjoin [PDEA] Director [General Aaron] Aquino to listen to the whole song, and not just take a few lines out of context. The song begins with the persona talking about the ill effects, the violence, and dangers of drugs,” bahagi ng pahayag ni Shanti.
Nakasaad pa sa pahayag na ang nais na ban ng PDEA ay isa umanong “dangerous precedent” sa “artistic freedom” sa bansa.
Reaksyon ito ni Shanti sa nais ng PDEA na i-ban ang “Amatz” dahil hinihimok umano nito ang paggamit ng marijuana.
