Pangangasiwa sa PNPA inilipat na sa Philippine National Police
Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang bagong batas na naglilipat sa hurisdiksiyon ng Philippine National Police Academy o PNPA mula sa Philippine Public Safety College patungo sa Philippine National Police (PNP).
Base sa nakasaad sa Republic Act 11279, ang PNP na ang mamahala sa PNPA.
Nakasaad din sa bagong batas na pamumunuan ang PNPA bilang director ng isang two-star rank general o ng Police Major General na aasistihan ng one-star rank official o ng isang Brig. General habang required din sa ilalim ng batas na isang Brig. General ang magsilbing Dean of Academics at Commandant.
Pinagsusumite ang chief PNP ng Revised Table of Organization at Staffing Pattern ng PNPA sa loob ng 120 days matapos ang effectivity ng RA 11279.
Ang PNPA ang pinaka-premyadong institusyon para sa mga gustong mag-pulis.
