Chinese, Korean establishments sa Boracay isinara

Hindi lalampas sa sampung establisyimento sa Boracay na pawang pagmamay-ari o pinatatakbo ng Chinese at South Korean nationals ang ipinasara dahil sa kawalan ng kaukulang permit.

Isinara ng Boracay Interagency Task Force sa tulong ng pamahalaang lokal ng Malay ang mga sumusunod na business establishments:

  • Bella’s Bar and Restaurant
  • Coco Spa
  • Ken St., Island Staff Restaurant
  • Ken Minimart
  • Kim Ji Man
  • Old Captain Cuisine
  • VIP Souvenir Shop
  • W Hostel Boracay Dragon
  • YH World Network Service Inc.

Kabilang ang naturang mga negosyo sa 49 establyimento na isinailalim sa inspeksyon noong May 7 hanggang 9.

Ayon kay Boracay Interagency Rehabilitation Group general manager Natividad Bernardino, ipinag-utos ang crackdown sa mga establisyimento matapos silang makatanggap ng ulat na naglipana ang Chinese businesses sa isla na pawang eklusibo lamang para mga turistang Chinese.

Napansin din na dumarami ang bilang ng Chinese at Korean nationals na nagtatrabaho bilang chef, restaurant staff at tour guides.

Nanindigan si Interior Undersecretary Epimaco Densing na hindi papayagan ang paglabag ng foreign nationals sa mga bansa at alituntunin ng Pilipinas lalo na sa Boracay na isinailalim sa rehabilitasyon.
