Patuloy ang pamamayani ng University of Santo Tomas (UST) sa tatlong sunod na taon matapos itong itanghal na overall champion ng UAAP Season 81.
Tinanggap nina Rev. Fr. Jannel Abogado, director ng UST Institute of Physical Education and Athletics at Gilda Kamuz, department secretary ang trophy sa closing ceremonies ng UAAP season.
Nakakuha ang UST ng kabuuang 279 points para masungkit ang titulo sa ika-43 na beses.
Hindi man nagkampeon sa malalaking events gaya ng men’s basketball at women’s volleyball, naitala naman ng Tigers ang ikalimang general championship sa juniors’ division at 20th overall.
Nasa pitong gold, anim na silver at apat na bronze ang nakuha ng UST sa buong season.
Samantala, De La Salle ang pangalawa sa general championship na sinundan ng Ateneo.
