Morales itinuring na ‘bullying’ ang pagka-aresto sa Hong Kong

Tinawag ni dating Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales na “bullying” ang pagharang sa kanya sa Hong Kong airport at pagkakulong ng 4 na oras sa paliparan.

Sa kanyang pagbabalik-bansa, sinabi ni Morales na isang uri ng bullying ang nangyari sa kanya sa Hong Kong.

“Yes, that was bullying. How do you call it if it’s not bullying?” ani Morales.

Ayon kay Morales, sinabihan siya ng mga otoridad sa Hong Kong na ikinulong siya dahil sa “immigration reasons.”

Pero ayaw anyang ipaliwanag ng mga otoridad ang dahilan ng kanyang pagka-aresto.

“They did not tell me anything about it. “I was insisting that they give me the ground. They said nothing,” pahayag ng dating Ombudsman.

Dagdag nito, may pinapipirmahan sa kanyang dokumento na nakasulat sa Tagalog. Nanghingi si Morales ng English version ng dokumento at doon niya nalaman na siya ay naka-detain.

“I read it and then it said ‘detention,’ and of course, the detention I was thinking of was behind bars,” ani Morales.

Pagkatapos ay sinabihan si Morales na agad siyang idedeport sa Pilipinas sakay ng Philippine Airlines flight alas 6:00 Martes ng gabi.

“When they asked me to sign the document, there were blanks. Not so many, but one of them was my flight. I refused to sing. I told them to fill up all the entries,” dagdag nito.

Tinanggihan naman ni Morales ang alok na pagkain sa kanya dahil baka lasunin umano siya kaya nanghingi na lamang ito ng bottled water.

Makalipas ang ilang oras ay pinayagan din si Morales na pumasok ng Hong Kong pero matapos ang nangyari sa kanya ay nagdesisyon ang dating opisyal na bumalik na lang ng Pilipinas.

Naniniwala si Morales na ang pag-aresto sa kanya ay may kinalaman sa kasong isinampa nila ni dating DFA Sec. Albert del Rosario sa ICC laban kay Chinese Pres. Xi Jinping.
