PNP: Special elections sa Jones, Isabela naging mapayapa

Mapayapang naidaos ang special elections sa Barangay Dicamay Uno sa Jones, Isabela ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP).

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Col. Bernard Banac na walang naitalang untoward incident sa naganap na halalan.

Magugunitang kinailangang magtakda ng special elections sa Barangay Dicamay Uno matapos sunugin ng dalawang armadong lalaki ang vote counting machines (VCMs) na naglalaman ng halos 1,000 boto.

Ayon kay Banac, batay sa mga natanggap na ulat ni PNP Chief Gen. Gen. Oscar Albayalde mula sa local officials, eksakto alas-6:00 ng gabi ay isinara ang botohan.

Inihatid ng Jones Police Station sa munisipyo ang Board of Election Inspectors kasama ang (VCMs) at mga election paraphernalia.

Samantala, kasama na sa mga nacanvass ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang mga boto mula sa Isabela hanggang Lunes ng gabi.
