Halos 100 kilo ng karne at meat products nakumpiska ng Customs sa NAIA
Umabot sa halos 100 kilo ng ng karne at meat products ang nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa terminal 1 ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Nakumpiska ang mga karne mula sa isang pasahero na dumating sa NAIA galing sa Taipei.
Ayon sa Customs, nabigo ang pasahero na magpakita ng import permit para sa nasabing mga produkto.
Patuloy ang mahigpit na pagbabantay ng mga tauhan ng Customs NAIA at Quarantine Services, at Bureau of Animal Industry para masigurong walang makapapasok sa bansa ng meat at meat products na walang permit.
Ito ay bilang pag-iingat sa African Swine Fever na ngayon ay kalat sa ilang mga bansa.
Mula noong January 2019, umabot na sa 4,412 kilograms ng meat products ang nakumpiska at nai-turnover sa Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI).
