Comelec magsasagawa ng special elections sa Jones, Isabela

Magsasagawa ang Comelec ng special elections sa bayan ng Jones sa Isabela bukas araw ng Lunes May 20.

Ayon kay Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez, ang special elections ay bunsod ng pagsunog sa dalawang vote counting machines (VCM) sa lugar noong araw ng halalan May 13.

“Special Elections will be conducted on 20 May 2019, in Barangay Dicamay 1, Jones, Isabela, as a consequence of the intentional burning of VCMs in that area, on election day,” ani Jimenez.

Inaprubahan anya ng Comelec en banc Sabado ng gabi ang special elections.

Matatandaan na arestado ang dalawang armadong lalaki na nanunog ng 2 VCMs sa lugar.

Ang mga suspek ay nakilalang sina Jayzon Leano at Rodel Pascual.

Hinarang ng mga suspek ang Board of Election Inspectors na papunta sa munisipyo noong Martes ng umaga.

Pinababa ng sasakyan ang mga BEIs saka sinunog ang mga VCM.

Nasa 200 balota ang hindi pa nabilang dahil sa aberya sa VCM.

Ang mga sinirang balota ay galing sa 11 polling procincts sa naturang bayan.
