AFP ibinaba na ang alert level sa buong bansa

Mula sa red ay ibinaba ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa blue ang alert level ng pwersa nito sa buong bansa dahil sa umano’y mapayapa at matagumpay na pagdaraos ng halalan noong Lunes.

Ayon kay AFP spokesman Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, ang pagbaba sa alert level ay ipinatupad eksakto alas-12:00 ng tanghali ng Miyerkules kung kailan halos lahat ng kandidato ay naiproklama na.

Posible anyang ibaba pa sa white o normal ang alert level sakaling ang lahat ng kandidato sa national positions ay maiproklama na rin.

Magugunitang nasa 170,000 sundalo at pulis ang ipinakalat sa buong bansa para bantayan ang halalan mula sa transportasyon ng election paraphernalia at pagtiyak sa seguridad ng polling centers.

Parehong idineklara ng pulisya at militar na generally peaceful ang halalan.

Samantala, ang Philippine National Police (PNP) ay nananatiling nasa full alert status ayon kay PNP Spokesperson Police Col. Bernard Banac.
