Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang episentro ng lindol ay sa layong 84 kilometro Hilagang-Silangan ng bayan ng Cortes.
May lalim ang pagyanig na 19 na kilometo at tectonic ang dahilan.
Hindi naman nagdulot ng pinsala sa mga ari-arian ang lindol at wala ring inaasahang aftershocks.
