Comelec, AFP at PNP handa na sa halalan ngayong araw

Tiniyak ng Commission on Elections (Comelec), Philippine National Police (PNP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na handang-handa na sila para sa midterm elections ngayong araw.

Sa press briefing sa National Board of Canvassers (NOC) Headquarters sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) sa Pasay City, Linggo ng gabi, sinabi ni Comelec Chairman Sheriff Abas na handa na ang poll body.

Linggo ng gabi ay 92 percent nang kumpleto ang final testing and sealing (FTS).

Ipinaliwanag ni Abas na wala namang technical problem kung bakit hindi agad natapos ang FTS at ito ay dahil lamang sa pagkakabalam ng delivery sa Caraga region at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Napalitan na rin anya ang higit 600 corrupted SD cards.

Samantala, sinabi ng poll body official na may itinayong polling precincts para sa mga buntis, senior citizens, indigenous people at persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Para naman kay PNP Directorate for Operations Police Major General Mao Aplasca naipakalat na ang 164,246 pulis para tiyakin ang seguridad ng halalan sa buong bansa.

Anya, may dalawang PNP personnel na nakatalaga sa bawat presinto.

Pinatitiyak ni Aplasca sa mga pulis na maging neutral at gawin lamang ang kanilang trabaho.

Samantala ayon kay AFP Chief of Staff General Benjamin Madrigal, nakapagtala na ang kanilang pwersa ng 64 election-related incidents.

Inaasahang aabot sa 61 milyon ang boboto sa halalan ngayong taon.
