Isang mayoralty candidate sa Agusan del Sur, arestado
Inaresto ang isang tumatakbong alkalde sa Rosario, Agusan del Sur dahil sa illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, Sabado ng umaga.
Hinuli ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) si Jupiter Abulog sa Barangay Santa Cruz sa bayan ng Rosario.
Nagkasa ng operasyon ang pulisya sa bisa ng search warrant na inilabas ni 10th Judicial Region Branch 7 Judge Lou Nueva sa Bayugan City noong May 9.
Nakuha kay Abulog ang mga sumusunod na armas at bala:
– isang Caliber 45 PARAO pistol
– isang Caliber 45 RUGER pistol
– isang Caliber 40 ARMSCOR pistol
– isang unit Caliber 45 NORINCO pistol
– isang unit ng M16 MAGPUL Rifle na walang serial number
– 28 piraso ng 5.56 live ammunition, at
– 14 na Caliber 40 live ammunition
Mahaharap si Abulog sa kasong paglabag sa Comprehensive Firearms and Ammuniaton Regulation Act.
