May 13, 2019 na araw ng halalan idineklara nang special non-working holdiday ni Pangulong Duterte

Pormal nang idineklarang special non-working holiday ng Malakanyang ang May 13, 2019 na araw ng halalan.

Sa proclamation number 719 na nilagdaan ni Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea at inaprubahan ng pangulo, ang araw ng national at local elections ay non-working holiday sa buong bansa.

Nilagdaan ang proklamasyon ngayong araw ng Huwebes, May 9.

Ito ay upang mabigyang pagkakataon ang mga mamamayan na makaboto.

Marami sa mga botante ay uuwi pa sa kanilang lalawigan upang doon bumoto.

Wala pa namang inilalabas na abiso ang palasyo kung pagbibigyan ang hirit ng Department of Energy (DOE) na ideklara ring holiday ang May 14 o isang araw matapos ang halalan.

Ito ay para makatipid ng kuryente at masigurong sapat ang suplay para sa pag bibilang ng mga balota.
