‘All systems go’ na ang Department of Education (DepEd) para sa May 13 elections.
Sa isang pahayag araw ng Miyerkules (May 9), sinabi DepEd Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan na handa na ang 230,000 public school teachers na tumulong sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa halalan.
Maging ang 36,000 polling centers ay nakahanda na rin.
Ani Malaluan, kaisa ng DepEd ang PNP at AFP sa pagpapanatili ng peace and order sa polling centers sa araw ng halalan.
“We are all systems go. About 36,000 schools are polling centers for these elections, we are all systems go. HIndi lang DepEd ang involved dito, PNP for security and even AFP is involved in maintaining peace and order,” ayon kay Malaluan.
Iginiit pa ng opisyal na mayroong election monitoring task forces at command centers sa central, region, division at district levels ng DepEd para matiyak ang maayos na pagdaraos ng halalan.
Sinabi pa ni Malaluan na makatatanggap ng honorarium ang public school teachers na magsisilbi bilang Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) at ito ay cash at hindi sa pamamagitan lamang ng cash cards.
Umaasa anya ang DepEd na matatanggap agad ng mga guro ang kanilang honorarium matapos ang pagtitiyak ng Comelec Project Management Office (PMO).
