NCRPO naka-full alert status na para sa May 13 elections

Isinailalim na ang buong pwersa ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) sa full alert upang tiyakin ang seguridad sa May 13 midterm elections.

Ayon kay NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, hindi na pwedeng mag-leave ang mga pulis para magampanan ang kanilang election duties maliban sa mayroong mga emergencies.

“All leaves are canceled, except those that are emergency in nature. All policemen should be present in their respective offices and stations,” ani Eleazar.

Ayon sa hepe ng NCRPO, 16,000 pulis ang ipakakalat sa polling precincts at canvassing centers sa buong rehiyon.

Inatasan na rin umano niya ang limang police district directors sa Metro Manila na bantayan ang political developments sa kanilang mga nasasakupan lalo na ang mga nagkaroon ng election-related violence sa nakalipas.

Samantala, mas marami ring checkpoints ang ilalatag at palalawigin ang police visibility hanggang Hunyo 13 na huling araw ng election gun ban.

Pinayuhan din ang mga pulis na huwag maging partisan at itaguyod ang integridad ng halalan.
