Ex-Bayan Muna Rep. Joel Virador, pumanaw na sa edad na 52

Pumanaw na si dating Bayan Muna Rep. Joel Virador sa edad na 52.

Sa kaniyang Facebook account, kinumpirma ng anak nito na si Harvey Rafael Virador ang pagpanaw ng dating mambabatas habang naka-confine sa Brokenshire Hospital sa Davao City bandang 11:20 ng umaga.

Naging sanhi aniya ang iniindang sakit na papillary carcinoma na isang pangkaraniwang uri ng thyroid cancer.

Una aniyang nakita ang sakit sa mambabatas taong 2013 ngunit hindi agad nabigyan ng lunas dahil lumabas sa unang diagnosis na hindi umano “cancerous.”

Naging representante si Virador ng Bayan Muna partylist noong 13th Congress mula June 2004 hanggang June 2007 at naging executive vice president ng naturang partylist.
