Comelec handa na sa May 13 elections

Nagdeklara ng kahandaan ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) para sa May 13 elections.

Halos isang linggo bago ang halalan sinabi ni Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez na ang delivery ng election paraphernalia at supplies ay halos 100 percent nang kumpleto.

Hinihintay na lang anya ang mismong araw ng eleksyon sa Lunes at handa na sila para rito.

“We are ready…Deliveries have been almost 100 percent completed. We have a few areas left in NCR and Region 3A. We are really just waiting for the day,” ani Jimenez.

“Of course if you are to say let’s hold the elections today not yet…But we will be ready for Monday,” dagdag ng poll body official.

Kahapon, araw ng Lunes ay isinagawa ng Comelec ang Final Testing and Sealing (FTS) ng mga gagamiting Vote Counting Machines (VCMs).

Kailangan ang FTS para masigurong gumagana nang maayos ang VCMs.

Ipinakita na rin sa media ang National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) headquarters sa PICC Forum sa Pasay City.

Sa lugar na ito bibilangin ang boto para sa mga senador at partylist.

Target ng Comelec na maiproklama ang Magic 12 sa Senado dalawang linggo matapos ang halalan.

Ang mga nagwagi naman sa local elections ay inaaasahang maipoproklama sa loob ng 24 hanggang 36 oras matapos ang botohan.
