Pagbabawal sa mga Pinoy na kumain sa Chinese restaurants, pinaiimbestigahan ng Palasyo

Pinaiimbestigahan na ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang kay Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ang reklamo ng ilang Filipino na pinagbawalan na kumain sa Chinese restaurant na China Food City sa Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, hindi dapat na maging exclusive ang naturang resutarant sa mga Chinese lamang dahil diskriminasyon ito para sa mga Filipino.

“We’ll we have to investigate that if that is true. We cannot allow that to happen. They cannot be discriminating against Filipinos; it’s a public business and therefore it should cater to all,” pahayag ni Panelo.

Kapag public business aniya ang pinasok ng isang negosyante dapat ay maging bukas ito sa lahat.

Naniniwala si Panelo na mas makabubuti kung maghahain ng reklamo ang sinumang indibidwal na mabibiktima ng diskriminasyon ng mga Chinese restaurant.

“The better step or thing to do is to file a complaint. You engage the owner or try to force yourself eh you will only trigger a fight, ayon pa kay Panelo.

Hindi aniya maganda na awayin ang may-ari ng restaurant dahil magdudulot lamang ng gulo.

Nasa local government units (LGU) na rin aniya ang pagpapasya kung ipasasara ang mga Chinese restaurant na mapatutunayang lumalabag sa batas.
