Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama sinuspinde ng Malacanang
Inaasahang bababa bukas o sa Biyernes, December 11 ang preventive suspension laban kay Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama.
May kaugnayan ang nasabing suspension order sa kanyang ginawang pagdurog at demolition sa center island ng Barangay Labangan sa nasabing lungsod.
Ayon sa source ng Inquirer, galing ang nasabing suspension order sa Office of the President at nakatakda namang ipatupad ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Nag-ugat ang kaso sa reklamong inihain ni Barangay Labangan Chairman Victor Buendia hingil sa umano’y pagmamalabis sa tungkulin ni Rama.
Anumang oras mula ngayon ay inaasahan naman ang pagdating ng Cebu City Mayor mula sa Paris France kung saan ay naging observer siya sa ginaganap na Climate Change conference.
Oras na bumaba ang kautusan, si DILG Region 7 Director Rene Burdeos ang siyang maghahain ng nasabing preventive suspension.
Si Burdeos din ang naghain ng suspension order ni dating Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia noong December 2012.
