8K na mga pulis itatalaga sa BARMM sa May 13 elections

Nasa 8,000 mga pulis ang itatalaga sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) para sa mid-term elections sa May 13.

Ang 8,000 mga pulis ay manggagaling sa regional standby troops, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team mula Cotabato City, support units, Regional Mobile Force Battalion at Highway Patrol group.

Ang Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ay magiging bahagi rin ng contingent.

Nasa 628 police personnel naman ang naka-standby bilang backup sakaling umatras o mabigo ang Board of Election Inspectors sa pagtupad sa kanilang tungkulin sa araw ng halalan.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa send-off ceremony sa Camp Brigadier General Salipada K. Pendatun sa Parang, Maguindanao araw ng Biyernes, pinaalalahanan ni Police Brig. Gen. Graciano J. Mijares, Regional Director ng PRO BARMM, ang tropa na paigtingin ang seguridad sa mga polling precincts at maghanda sa anumang gulo kasabay ng eleksyon.
