DOLE umapela sa Filipino workers sa Libya na umuwi na
Maigting ang panawagan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa mga Filipino workers sa Libya na mag-avail sa repatriation program ng gobyerno.
Ito ay sa gitna ng tumitinding gulo sa naturang African country.
Ayon kay Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III, mayroon nang augmentation team sa Libya na binubuo ng tatlong administrative staff at tatlong welfare officer.
Plano rin ng kalihim na italaga bilang isang consultant ang isang dating opisyal ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na may karanasan sa paghawak sa problema sa Libya.
Pamumunuan ng naturang dating DFA official ang augmentation team.
“Meron na kaming augmentation team doon composed of three administrative staff and three welfare officer. And then, I am planning to hire as consultant yung former DFA official who have a long experience in handling the Libyan problem to lead yung team na iyon [We have already an augmentation team there composed of three administrative staff and three welfare officer. And then, I am planning to hire as consultant a former DFA official who have a long experience in handling the Libyan problem, to lead the (augmentation) team,” ani Bello.
Sa ngayon ay mayroon nang hawak na address ang DOLE ng mga Filipino na nagtatrabaho sa Tripoli.
Sinabi ni Bello na may ilan sa mga Filipino na nais nang umuwi ngunit may ilan ding ayaw dahil hindi pa nakukuha ang kanilang sweldo sa loob ng isang taon.
Tiniyak naman ni Bello na ang gobyerno na ang bahala sa pangongolekta sa sahod ng mga manggagawa at bibigyan din sila ng tulong pinansyal.
