Higit 3k na baril nakumpiska; 164 arestado sa paglabag sa gun ban sa Bicol
Nakumpiska ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang 3,082 na mga armas habang arestado ang 164 katao na lumabag sa gun ban sa Bicol.
Ayon kay Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, sa nasabat na mga baril, 982 ang loose firearms habang 2,100 na armas ang boluntaryong isinuko ng gun owners.
Karamihan sa pag-aresto at pagkumpiska ay ginawa sa mga checkpoint, pagsisilbi ng search warrant, buy bust operations, “Oplan Bakal” at police patrol.
Bukod sa mga armas, nakumpiska rin ang 1,836 na deadly weapons, anim na replica ng baril, 29 bladed/pointed weapons, pitong granada, 11 explosives o improvised explosive devices, 27 sumpak o improvised at homemade na baril at 1,756 na mga bala.
