LOOK: 18 lugar, nakapagtala ng mataas na heat index ngayong Huwebes (May 2)

Sa kabila ng naranasang pag-ulan sa ilang parte ng bansa, naitala pa rin ang ‘dangerous level’ ng heat index sa 18 lugar, araw ng Huwebes (May 2).

Sa datos ng PAGASA, naitala ang pinakamataas na heat index sa Guiuan, Eastern Samar na may 50.8 degrees Celsius bandang 11:00 ng umaga.

Ang heat index ay ang init na nararamdaman ng katawan ng tao na kadalasang mas mataas sa air temperature.

Maituturing sa ‘dangerous level’ kung aabot ang heat index mula 41 hanggang 54 degrees Celsius.

– El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental (42.8 degrees Celsius)
